• Treat all members, including the Administrators, with respect. No swearing, baiting, flaming, or insults.
  
• NO PLAGIARISM, of any sort, is allowed on our boards. This includes when you write bios for canon characters, so please, please be absolutely original in all of your work.
  
• You must be 13 years of age or older to create a ProBoards account and to RP on this board. This site is also rated PG-13. You must consult an admin before RPing or referencing any drug use or sexual situations.
  
• Spam/Advertise on the spam/advertise board only. We reserve the right to delete your spam if there is no where for us to spam back.
  
• All roleplay should be in third-person and have correct spelling and grammar. One liners are not allowed.

• Signatures must be 500x200 pixels or less. Images posted in threads must be 500x500 or less.
  

• Characters that are exactly copied from other fandoms will not be approved, or if caught late will be deleted.
  
• No naturally unusual hair or eye color unless you are metamorphmagus. No random animal parts unless you're an animal.
  
• To avoid confusion Original Characters may not have the same names as key or unusually named Book Characters. No Hermiones.
  
• Original characters may not be related to any book character, unless you have Administrator permission and the consent of the current player.
  
• No transfer students to Hogwarts. Students should be residents of Ireland or Britain from age 11 onward.
  
• Players may not have an overabundance of pureblood characters. Try to have an even number of muggleborns and halfbloods as well.
  
• No Mary Sues. If you don't know what a Mary Sue is, feel free to ask the admins.
  

The theme of the motion picture by itself will not result in a rating greater than PG-13, although depictions of activities related to a mature theme may result in a restricted rating for the motion picture. Any drug use will initially require at least a PG-13 rating. More than brief nudity will require at least a PG-13 rating, but such nudity in a PG-13 rated motion picture generally will not be sexually oriented. There may be depictions of violence in a PG-13 movie, but generally not both realistic and extreme or persistent violence. A motion picture’s single use of one of the harsher sexually-derived words, though only as an expletive, initially requires at least a PG-13 rating. More than one such expletive requires an R rating, as must even one of those words used in a sexual context.

While your post may be themed upon or based around adult themes, it may not actually depict any adult situations. That means...

• No sex or heavy sensuality.
  
• No graphic descriptions of nudity.
  
• No drug abuse. (Mild drug use must be approved beforehand by an admin.)
  
• No persistent, realistic, or extreme violence.
  
• A given thread may only contain ONE instance of harsh, sexually-derived curse words, and it may only be used as an expletive. Dropping the F-bomb because your character stubbed their toe is acceptable once in a thread but saying that he F-bombed a young lady is not. For a list of unacceptable words, you may PM an admin.
  
• Do NOT alter your words to sneak them past the word filter. The filter is there for a reason and it has been recently loosened up a great deal so that no words generally permitted in a PG-13 setting should be censored.

When in doubt, err on the side of caution. We have a Restricted Section for a reason where none of these rules apply. If you intend on pushing the envelope, please do so there. You may PM an admin to obtain the password for the Restricted Section.
